New winds

As some of you might have read, I'll be moving back to Finland in just a couple of weeks. Next week all my belongings will be shipped over. That leaves me less than three weeks here in London and I pretty much have all my workless days filled with something. And I don't even get to do everything I wanted.
Shipping over my entire life and belongings means I wouldn't have anything to craft with, even if I had the time. Which I obviously don't.
So, I've decided to take a little break. It's not an actual break, I just know I won't have time for the blog for a while. I'm not sure how long this'll last, but I'll be back as soon as I can.
I have a few small ideas for a new, better (?) blog. Only time will show whether any of those will actually end up here. Your opinions on the sidebar poll would be much appreciated. Thank you! (and sorry for the teeny tiny caption font, it says "What does Needles and Roses need?)

Uusia tuulia muuton merkeissä sekä pientä blogi-taukoa luvassa. Toivottavasti myös uudistunutta (parempaa?) blogia tulossa, jätä mielipiteesi yläkulman  kyselyssä!

Party time

Yesterday was my little sister's 18th birthday. Last night we had a huge surprise party for her. We had lots of games, food, booze, presents and all her friends waiting for her arrival.
My sister had absolutely no idea about our surprise. The party was a success and I believe everyone had a great time!

Busy bee and some hats

I know I haven't been a very active blogger lately. But the truth is, I haven't really done much worth mentioning here, although I have been busy with my life. Some very exciting changes coming up this spring and summer, some of them still unconfirmed. The biggest change of them all, which I guess is now safe say out loud, is that I'll be moving back to Finland in April. I haven't entirely wrapped my head around it yet, so there isn't much I can say about it right now. I am, however, very excited and happy about my decision.
I have done some knitting too, so let's get back to the point of this whole blog.
I made this beanie for a 7-year old boy but after a few weeks, it ended up on the school roof top. As he loved his hat and refuses to wear any other hats he's got at the moment, I promised I'd knit him another one. For this hat I used 7 veljestä in plain turquoise and 7 veljestä Polkka in multicoloured turquoise, both from Novita.
For his sister, who I made the scarf for Christmas (same post), I knitted a cupcake hat with the same pink yarn. For the cupcake I used Jarol Ltd Baby Rambler Aran in pink, Rico Baby in beige and left over red and other colours I had.
